Creating More Visibility

I really would like to have more visibility on the social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, My Space and all of the other websites I am affiliated with. Understanding what to do is, sometimes a daunting task. One thing I don’t want to do is offend the people that have allowed my updates to appear on their pages. I also would try not alienating them by being a tad bit over-bearing by just posting update and update upon update causing a nuisance of myself even before I truly embark upon the Network Marketing/MLM business.

Attraction Marketing seems like a journey more and more people are taking a look at when it comes to what they are offering. Be it Juice, Tea, Books, Telecommunications or Credit Services, all have to get potential clients to trust in whatever it is they are marketing.

Gaining trust is work and it’s the necessary ingredient to the success of anyone’s organization. First, I have to believe in the product and or service before I can get a potential client to even take a look into what it is I am offering. Businesses which offer services to the customer and to businesses have a great deal of acreage to cover. I clearly understand that if people like whatever it is I have then there is a strong possibility that that product is will be shared amongst friends and relatives. Information about it is going to go from potential customer to the next, virally making its way via word of mouth advertising. Yes, I want that mega amount of visitors, but most of all I want customers and or people interested in an opportunity enough to spend time on the website(s), learning. I know I can’t make the mistake of taking the “social” out of Social Media. I still have to engage the people I am connecting with and that word connect is crucial to any marketing strategy.

Now, how does a business selling to another business take advantage of the “Social Media” aspect? It is truly a contact sport; building an active wall on Facebook, creating content on LinkedIn that sets you apart and encourages views through your own participation through Weblogs, Youtube Videos and other interactive sources.

Do I need high production videos, costing more than I am able or even ready to afford? Will a simple, yet tasteful video of myself explaining what our products do and the benefits therein help to ingratiate my customers and potential ones to my site(s)? Creating something that I, as a consumer would want to stop and look at is what I am looking to accomplish.

I just came away from a meeting to introduce myself to an organization that has a great deal to offer the community and has been doing so for some forty (40) years. However, I feel they are candidates for more marketing strategies, just getting the word out to more people about how valuable this organization is and can remain to the area. The International Youth Organization has been helping inner-city youths redirect their energy into areas that benefit the individual and the community as a whole. They create change, lasting change, the kind of change many can and do overlook because their efforts have and continue to be overshadowed by the much larger ones that cater to a different segment of our society that don’t get a chance to see firsthand how our kids suffer.

The International Youth Organization has been, figuratively, teaching our kids how to fish. And what is needed is exactly what is lacking – exposure. With our children it’s always the good that they do goes unnoticed, while the bad that they can find themselves involved in is immensely dramatized and aired in all forms of media for the public to scorn. Gaining more visibility is an issue that many of the Social Media sites have been able to answer.

If you have products and services that do not limit sales to just your geography, how better to get that product or service in to the people’s hand that are actually looking for it. Technology is with us but it would seem globally, many are lagging behind in the deployment of the technology. We pride ourselves in saying we are technologically advanced, but real pride is from the doing.
WiMax and its capabilities in the hands of our citizens would do great things in decreasing that “Digital Divide”. Especially since our Universities and City Council are spearheading the closing of the divide and I feel the employment of WiMax has the ability to do it.
It’s not about talking about it that gets it done, but in getting involved wholeheartedly that will ultimately make a difference.

“It’s All About You …”

Making Headway of it All

On The Path to Destruction?

Have you or do you remember that guy or gal that, when you helped get them out of a “jam” , they would mouth off and make threats and make matters even worse than before? What do you do? You have already put yourself in the middle of something and now it seems to be escalating. You’re now kind of wishing you had just kept walking like you had told yourself to do in the first place. But you just couldn’t stand or even walk on by. It was not how you were raised. You were always told to help the little guy, the less fortunate, and the meek. But now a serious question looms in the balance – at what cost? At what cost does one continue on a journey that seems hell-bent on the destruction of all involved. I know and you know that there is the cheering section, saying things to keep the fight going just so they can see someone get hurt. You know you’re unable to get rid of them, because there are so many. They are like those Hyenas right after a Big Cat has made her kill; hovering all around the fringe in wait for an opportune time to chime in. They, the instigators, are not ones for diplomacy! They are not about looking for a better way, just their way of causing more pain and suffering, all at the expense of others.

Too many times whenever something goes awry on the political front and situations are to be likened to other ethnic groups, Africans seem to be always pulled into the fray as an example. In the case of 89-year-old Helen Thomas’ heartfelt remark that the European converts to Judaism that are now settlers in the land of Palestine need to go back to their land of origin has been met with venom from many who sympathize with the plight of one and not with the other.

Ex-Spokesmen Lead Charge for White House Reporter Helen Thomas to Be Fired Published June 06, 2010 | FOXNews.com

“If she had asked all blacks to go back to Africa, what would White House Correspondents Association position be as to whether she deserved White House press room credentials — much less a privileged honorary seat?” Davis asked, adding that those who say Thomas is protected by her right to free speech would likely be less tolerant if she were talking about other minority groups.

This is truly a case of comparing Apples to Oranges. The Ashkenazi’s were given a portion of the land they inhabit and since they won the war(s) they have been taking more and more of the land claiming their ancestral rights as people of the “Book”, because they converted to the religion.  Palestinians are asking that Israel go back to the 1967 division of the land and not the division we see in 2010 or even 2000.  So Helen Hunt’s statement that Israel need to get out of Palestine is not that far off.  Maybe they might not need to get all the way out, but it would stand that some departure from lands now occupied need to be revisited, as the UN has mandated on numerous occasions.  The Dutch descendents (known as Boers or Afrikaners) have this strange feeling of attachment when it comes to South Africa. It would seem that the people in power, the Zionists, in Palestine are merely immigrants who traveled to Palestine freely.   Captured Africans wer e deposited in the Americas and were told many times to go back to Africa before, during and after Reconstruction.  Now when attempts to do so were met with suspicion and government intervention.

Through most of it all, it would seem, that we in trying times with all that is in the news, locally and abroad.  Israel’s latest stunt has given many causes for concern.  If Turkey was never a friend or potential ally, then I would and could understand Israel’s strong-handed approach.  If Turkey has always been an antagonist towards the State of Israel; yes, then quite possibly, extreme force was a necessary reaction to a supposed slight.  Israel controls much of the Palestinian land, and to just allow the ships to land on the Gaza shores may not have been in the best interest of Israel; with hopes of an Israeli search for weapons that could aid Hamas, the “democratically” elected government of Palestine, to follow. Such a move might have been readily accepted by the world community but to the detriment of Israel’s aim to wipe the Palestinians off the map.  It’s Israel’s aim to not allow weapons to their enemy and every arms broker aim to get weapons to any and all combatants involved. Imagine if all things were equal and arms were being distributed to each in equal measure. Would peace talks be had much quicker if both parties saw the futility of war with each other? It undoubtedly was something to think about during the cold war years. But I guess that’s not how it works.

Turkey is unique in the Middle East for its robust relations with Israel. It was the first Muslim country to recognize Israel as a state, and it has built up more than $3 billion in annual trade with Israel, far more than for any other Middle Eastern country - By SABRINA TAVERNISE and ETHAN BRONNER – Published: February 4, 2009

The attacks of late can have no favorable viewpoints from any in the International Community and for many of them to  ”just” look at the whole ordeal as “just” an attack on Israel really have not taken a good look at all of this from a different perspective, presumably from the indigenous peoples point of view. The point is if I claim I am faithful and obedient and show no trust in that things will work out if I get out of the way and allow the Creator to work, then I am in fact unfaithful and disobedient.  Can we just try to get along, especially if everyone around me is saying I should be more lenient and give back what I have stolen.

Israel is the target of at least 65 UN Resolutions and the Palestinians are the target of none.

Aside from the core issues—refugees, Jerusalem, borders—the major themes reflected in the U.N. resolutions against Israel over the years are its unlawful attacks on its neighbors; its violations of the human rights of the Palestinians, including deportations, demolitions of homes and other collective punishments; its confiscation of Palestinian land; its establishment of illegal settlements; and its refusal to abide by the U.N. Charter and the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

- Donald Neff

Peace is something the Middle East needs to enjoy.  Hopefully it can be achieved through further talks and reconciliations on both parts.
